Bagasse pellets offer distinctive benefits to global power plant operators:

• Diversified, secured supply: By complementing Palm Kern Shells (PKS) and wood pellets, bagasse is a third alternative. Availability of bagasse is stable and uncorrelated with that of PKS or wood pellets

• Sustainability: Unlike wood pellets and PKS, there is no question on the origin of the biomass, and therefore no risk of deforestation. MOBIONU's use of bagasse, an agricultural residue, means that the pellets are a truly sustainable fuel source

• Long-Term Contracts and price stability: The cost of the feedstock is linked to the cost of capital for sugar mill upgrades. In this context it is straight forward to fix the price of long term supply on the same horizon as the Feed in Tariff for biomass electricity.
